Simba Farm Lodge is located on the western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, on a working farm that spans over 5,000 acres of farmland and natural forest. The lodge is set at an elevation that offers sweeping views of Kilimanjaro, the surrounding plains, and Mount Meru. Accommodation is offered in the original 1920s farmhouse, which has been converted into a charming guest house with six rooms, or in newer garden cottages located near the main house. Rooms are simply but comfortably furnished, with en-suite or shared bathroom options depending on room type. There is also a private campsite nearby for guests who prefer to stay under canvas, complete with hot showers and basic facilities.

The lodge serves home-cooked meals made with fresh produce, meat, and dairy sourced directly from the farm. Guests can explore the farm on foot, take part in guided tours to learn about the crops and livestock, or enjoy hiking and birdwatching in the nearby hills and forested areas. Simba Farm Lodge is also a popular base for pre- or post-trek stays for Kilimanjaro climbers, or as a peaceful stopover between safaris in northern Tanzania. Travel time from Arusha is around two hours by road, or slightly less from Moshi, with the final approach via well-maintained farm tracks.
